Bob Boyer

Bob Boyer was born around Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in 1948. In the late 1960’s he started being an artist. He is best-known for his variety of blankets he made between 1983 and 1994. He is Métis. He died on August 30th, 2004. One day, in the late 1960’s without Bob even knowing, his friend signed him up for the University of Regina. Then he got a letter in the mail and decided to go. That’s how he became an artist. When we went to the art gallery, Lindsay was our tour guide. My favorite painting was one with trees that looked real, animals that look real, a beadwork border, tree roots at the bottom, and a lake in the background. Something fun we did with Lindsay was we did an activity of what we could make out of 12 circles. We also made our own art with pastels!
